Q: Do I need a fishing license? A: All of Hot Spots Charters boat have licenses to cover everyone on board.
Q: When and where do we meet? A: For fishing charters out of Pensacola and Pensacola Beach we will leave from Pensacola Beach Marina. For trips out of Navarre and Perdido Key the captain will let me know where we will be leaving from the night before the trip.
Q: What should I bring for my trip? A: It’s a good idea to bring food, drinks, camera, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat.
Q: How early should I arrive for my trip? A: Fifteen to twenty minutes before the scheduled time is perfect, by this time the crew will have the bait and ice loaded and be ready to load your stuff.
Q: Should I tip the captain or crew? A: On inshore trips captains will greatly appreciate any tips and deckhands on offshore trips work primarily for tips. 15-20% is a customary tip for a captain or deckhand.
Q: What if the weather forecast looks bad? A: The captain will keep in touch and communicate with everyone leading up to the trip; if it’s not going to be fun there will be no trip.
